Eighteen employees of the Ruppur Nuclear Power Plant have been dismissed in an effort to quell ongoing labor protests. They are also banned from entering the Green City residential area and project site for security reasons. The protests, involving 1,500 employees, began on April 28, demanding the removal of the project’s Managing Director among other reforms.
