Three people were killed in a road accident in Mohanpur upazila of Rajshahi on Wednesday morning. The collision occurred in front of Kharail Mill Ghar on the Rajshahi-Naogaon highway when a Mahindra vehicle and a truck crashed head-on. One person, identified as Maruf Hossain, son of Mohammad Ali from Manda in Naogaon, died at the scene, while two others succumbed to their injuries at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

According to Mohanpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Modachher Hossain Khan, the accident also left three others injured. He stated that a case over the road accident will be filed and necessary steps are being taken to hand over the bodies to their families.

The incident highlights ongoing road safety concerns in the region, as authorities continue to investigate the cause of the collision and process legal formalities.
