A dispute over the sale of scrap goods led to a violent clash during an arbitration meeting in Lakhai, Habiganj, leaving at least 30 people injured. Police arrested 17 individuals and recovered various weapons, including spears and machetes. According to the police, the conflict originated from a disagreement over the price of a broken television, which later escalated into a physical altercation. The violence resurfaced when a group armed with weapons attacked their rivals during the arbitration session held during Eid celebrations.
