Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Traffic Division filed 3,257 cases against traffic-law violators during a two-day enforcement drive across different parts of the capital. The operations were conducted on Thursday and Friday, July 23 and 24, with the information published on July 25. The division said the action was aimed at maintaining traffic discipline in the Dhaka metropolitan area.

Traffic-Mirpur recorded the highest number of cases, with 670. It was followed by Motijheel with 492, Gulshan with 458, Wari with 450, Uttara with 401, Tejgaon with 372, Lalbagh with 246 and Ramna with 168. The cases involved buses, trucks, covered vans, CNG vehicles and motorcycles.

During the drive, authorities dumped 908 vehicles and towed 426 vehicles using wreckers. DMP's Traffic Division said its enforcement operations would continue to maintain traffic discipline across the Dhaka metropolitan area.
