The United States is actively working to ease tensions between India and Pakistan through diplomatic efforts, including recent meetings with Pakistani representatives. US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce stated that President Donald Trump’s administration is committed to resolving long-standing conflicts in the region. "Trump has created opportunities for discussions that were once thought impossible. This demonstrates his diplomatic skills," Bruce said. Last week, during a visit to the US, a delegation of Pakistani lawmakers met with Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker. The two sides discussed bilateral ties and counterterrorism cooperation. US officials also reiterated Washington’s support for the ongoing ceasefire along the India-Pakistan border during the meeting.
