Zahidul Islam, President of Islami Chhatra Shibir, has stated that no individual can dictate who gets to participate in politics in Bangladesh. “The former head of the fascist Awami League frequently sought to ban us, yet just five days after doing so, they themselves fled the country,” he said.

Zahidul warned the Chhatra Dal president to learn from the past or face the same consequences. “If you choose to speak in the tone of fascism, the people and students of this country will ensure you meet the same fate as other fascist leaders,” he added. Zahidul also reiterated that the unity of their movement remains intact.
