Two days after being elected as Member of Parliament from Dhaka-15, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman visited his constituency on Saturday. During the visit, he met residents, expressed gratitude for their support, and personally began removing election posters. He urged everyone to cooperate in fulfilling his responsibilities and vowed to serve people beyond party affiliations. Calling for an end to nationwide oppression, he said injustices must stop immediately.

According to a press release from the party’s central publicity department, Dr. Rahman toured several areas of Mirpur, offered prayers at local mosques, and met with worshippers and residents. This was his first post-election visit. He reaffirmed his commitment to fulfill promises regarding development and problem-solving in Dhaka-15. He also called on party members to maintain cleanliness and engage in community service.

Dr. Rahman stated that the people’s desire for change was reflected in recent votes and pledged that Jamaat would act responsibly to meet public expectations. He emphasized unity, love, and dedication to national progress, asserting that the country would not be subjugated to any force.
