The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has decided not to renew the leases of 16 commercial entities operating in three major airports, effective from the 2025–26 fiscal year.

Among them, 14 are based at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, while the rest operate in Chattogram and Saidpur airports. CAAB officials cited allegations of tax evasion, political favoritism in lease awards, and absentee owners as reasons behind the decision.
