Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Alhaj Abdul Gafur has been unofficially declared the winner in the Kushtia-2 (Mirpur-Veramara) parliamentary constituency, also known as seat number 76. The results were announced on Thursday, February 12, 2026, following the completion of vote counting across all 170 polling centers in the constituency.

According to the declared results, Abdul Gafur, who contested under the 'balance scale' symbol, received 189,816 votes. His nearest rival, Barrister Ragib Rauf Chowdhury, running under the 'paddy sheaf' symbol, secured 143,282 votes. This gave Gafur a winning margin of 46,534 votes. The report notes that he maintained a consistent lead throughout the counting process, ensuring his victory.

The unofficial result adds to a series of constituency outcomes reported the same day, including victories by BNP and Jamaat candidates in other regions, as part of the ongoing parliamentary election results being announced across Bangladesh.
