Election Commissioner Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah formally concluded the announcement of the 13th parliamentary election results on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Election Commission building. In his closing remarks, he said the commission’s sole commitment was to organize a transparent and impartial election, and that maximum effort had been made to achieve this goal.

Sanaullah described the election as a new dawn in Bangladesh’s history and expressed gratitude to domestic and international observers, media representatives, administration, and law enforcement agencies for their cooperation. He said the election was treated not merely as a constitutional duty but as a sacred trust. According to him, the poll was closely linked with the nation’s dignity, international image, and economic progress, and was conducted peacefully compared to previous elections.

He urged all to view any administrative shortcomings with understanding and expressed the commission’s hope to organize even more exemplary elections in the future. The senior secretary of the Election Commission will provide detailed statistics separately to the media.
