Zonayed Saki, leader of Ganosamhati Andolon, stated that it is perfectly normal for political parties to demand elections. He warned that portraying such demands as part of an “Indian agenda” is a dangerous narrative. “There’s nothing criminal about demanding elections,” Saki said. “If elections are not held by December, the government must clearly explain why to the public. Without a specific date, many necessary reforms cannot proceed. While there is consensus on several reform issues, others can be resolved through discussion.”
In the same event, AB Party President Mojibur Rahman Monju added, “The government failed to unite us or present a clear political roadmap. We must not squander this historic opportunity.”
