At least 50 people, including children, fell ill after consuming fuchka (puffed crispy snacks) at an Eid fair in Abhaynagar, Jashore. On Tuesday morning, the affected individuals were admitted to Abhaynagar Upazila Health Complex with symptoms of food poisoning. Dr. Alimur Rajib, a physician at the health complex, confirmed: “Most patients are experiencing stomach pain and vomiting. The majority are children, but adults have also been affected. They are receiving saline and medication for treatment.”
