Shahjalal University of Science and Technology will begin a three-day international photography exhibition on August 6, featuring 81 selected photographs from more than 21 countries. Organised by the Shahjalal University Photographers Association, known as SUPA, the “Inquest Insight-7” exhibition will run through August 8 on the university campus. SUPA president Rubaiya Nasrin announced the programme at a news conference at the university press club on August 4.

The first phase will be held from 11am to 8pm daily at the ground floor of Academic Building D. More than 4,000 photographs were submitted from Bangladesh and other countries. About 500 images from 21 countries, including India, Spain, the United States, France, Germany, Austria, Ethiopia, Thailand, the Netherlands and Mexico, were initially selected.

Judges then chose 81 photographs for the final exhibition. The selected works will be shown in three categories: single-camera, mobile and photo story. Total prize money of $400 has been set for winners. The exhibition’s second phase is scheduled for August 28 and 29 at the Liberation War Museum in Agargaon, Dhaka.
