Three anti-discrimination activists detained in Dhanmondi over allegations of inciting a mob and verbally attacking a publisher were released into the custody of NCP leader Hannan Masud. Dhanmondi Police OC Kayshenu confirmed that the decision was made after a senior coordinator and family members intervened. The released individuals are Saiful Islam Rabbi (Convenor, Mohammadpur), Afarhan Sarkar Dinar (Senior Joint Secretary, Dhaka Metropolitan Unit), and Md. Ullah Jisan. The anti-discrimination platform later announced Rabbi’s removal from his organizational role due to alleged moral misconduct.
