Three police officers were injured after being attacked during an operation to arrest wanted accused and alleged notorious robber Sahab Ali in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon in the Bau Bazar area of Aati Wapda Colony. The injured officers were Siddhirganj police station ASI Md Swapan and constables Abu Hanif and Monir Hossain, who were taken to Khanpur Hospital in Narayanganj city for treatment.

Police said a Siddhirganj police team raided a house after receiving information that Sahab Ali was there. When officers attempted to arrest him, his associates allegedly launched a surprise attack. Additional Superintendent of Police Tariq Al Mehdi said the attackers threw bricks and other objects at officers and struck them with rods.

Police detained Md Abdullah, 24, and Md Naim, 25, on suspicion of involvement in the attack. Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Emdadul Haque said Sahab Ali could not be detained during the operation and police efforts to identify and bring those involved under the law were continuing. Law enforcement information says Sahab Ali faces more than 20 cases, including murder, robbery, extortion and militant activities.
