BNP candidate Kalim Uddin Milon has been unofficially declared the winner in the Sunamganj-5 constituency, covering Chhatak and Dowarabazar. According to results received by 8:30 p.m., Milon, contesting under the 'paddy sheaf' symbol, secured 152,997 votes.

His closest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Abdus Salam Madani, who ran under the 'scales' symbol, received 99,928 votes. This gives Milon a lead of 53,069 votes, according to BNP sources. The results are based on unofficial tallies from all polling centers in the constituency.
