Bangladesh is preparing for the third round of tariff negotiations with the United States, aiming to ensure fair trade terms for its exports. Trade Adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin expressed optimism that the U.S. will set tariffs at a reasonable level. A formal request for scheduling the talks has been submitted. Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman confirmed that top-level efforts are underway. Business leaders also expressed satisfaction with the government's progress and expect positive outcomes, especially amid U.S. plans to impose a 35% tariff on Bangladeshi goods from August 1.
