At least 20 sailors and port workers have been killed in the Strait of Hormuz since fighting between Iran and the United States-Israel began in late February this year, according to the International Maritime Organization. The deaths occurred in 68 incidents on the strategic waterway, the IMO said.

The organization reported that a further 35 people were injured in the incidents, while one person remains missing. It said most of the events were classified directly as “attacks.”
