At least 38 people were killed and more than 400 injured in renewed hostilities between the United States and Iran, according to an Al Jazeera report. Iran’s Health Ministry spokesperson Hossein Kermanpour said the dead included three women and a child, while 22 women and nine minors were among the injured. The attacks, carried out for a sixth consecutive night, targeted multiple cities and five bridges in southern and southeastern Iran, including Bandar Abbas, Bandar Khamir, Qeshm Island, Sirik, and Iranshahr.

Iranian state media IRIB reported casualties in residential areas of Bandar Abbas and confirmed separate strikes near Bandar Khamir that destroyed key bridges. Tasnim and Mehr news agencies described explosions across Hormozgan and Bushehr provinces, with power outages and damage to communication infrastructure. The Iranian army said it launched retaliatory strikes on US forces in Kuwait and Syria’s Al-Tanf base, claiming destruction of radar systems and helicopters.

US Central Command confirmed it had completed another offensive operation against Iranian military targets, marking the sixth consecutive night of attacks. The renewed escalation follows a brief truce brokered by Pakistan last month, now strained by disputes over control of the Strait of Hormuz.
