Economist Reza Kibria has been declared the unofficial winner in the Habiganj-1 (Nabiganj-Bahubal) constituency, securing a total of 111,073 votes under the paddy sheaf symbol. The preliminary results were announced on Thursday night, February 12, 2026, by Assistant Returning Officers Md. Ruhul Amin and Liton Chandra Dey.

According to the announced results, Reza Kibria received 72,594 votes in Nabiganj and 38,479 votes in Bahubal. His nearest rival, Maulana Sirajul Islam, nominated by the 11-party alliance and contesting under the rickshaw symbol, obtained 55,245 votes. Other candidates included BNP’s rebel candidate Sheikh Sujat Mia with 34,462 votes under the horse symbol, Islamic Front’s Mohammad Badrur Reza with 5,244 votes under the chair symbol, and Bangladesh Socialist Party’s Kazi Tofayel Ahmed with 639 votes under the motorcar symbol.

The results indicate a decisive victory for Reza Kibria in the constituency, though the report notes that the results are still unofficial.
