A court has sentenced Abdul Malek, a former driver at the Directorate General of Health Services, to 13 years in prison on charges of amassing illegal wealth. Investigations revealed that he concealed assets worth BDT 9.35 million and illegally acquired BDT 150.31 million. Malek was arrested in 2020 with a foreign pistol and counterfeit money.
