BNP leader Gayeshwar Chandra Roy stated that banning political parties is not a solution to national problems, which are primarily psychological. He recalled the demise of historical parties like the Muslim League and JASAD, warning that any party acting against the people's interest naturally dissolves. “Those seeking to ban the Awami League today may try to ban the BNP tomorrow. Who can guarantee otherwise?” he asked. Roy emphasized that the people should decide which parties are acceptable and which should be politically sidelined.
