At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has departed for Beijing. His official visit, from March 26 to 29, includes participation in the Boao Forum for Asia’s annual conference in Hainan Province on March 27, where he will deliver a speech at the inaugural plenary session. He is also expected to meet with China’s Executive Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang. On March 28, Dr. Yunus will hold a meeting with President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing and visit Huawei’s high-tech enterprise division. On March 29, Peking University will confer an honorary doctorate upon him, followed by a keynote speech. He is scheduled to return to Dhaka later that day.
