Assistant Returning Officer and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mir Rasheduzzaman Rashed announced the results of the 2026 National Election and Referendum for the Pabna-2 constituency, covering Sujanagar upazila, on Thursday night at around 10 p.m. According to the official declaration, BNP’s nominated candidate Advocate A.K.M. Selim Reza Habib, a member of the party’s National Executive Committee, won the seat.

In the Pabna-2 (Bera-Sujanagar) constituency, the BNP candidate’s symbol ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ received 213,950 votes, while the rival candidate’s symbol ‘Scales’ secured 75,387 votes. The results were confirmed by the local election authority as part of the nationwide 2026 parliamentary election and referendum process.

The announcement adds to a series of results showing BNP victories in several constituencies, including Pabna-5 and three out of four seats in Patuakhali, as well as a Jamaat candidate’s win in Gaibandha-5.
