Police in Patgram, Lalmonirhat, arrested Sohel Rana, the municipal leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, around 2:40 p.m. He was detained in front of the BRAC office in Patgram. According to police sources, the arrest was made because of three outstanding warrants related to murder cases filed during the Awami League government. After his arrest, Sohel Rana was sent from Patgram Police Station to the Lalmonirhat district jail.
