Jabed Rahman Joy (19), a member of the BNP-affiliated student wing, was fatally stabbed Wednesday night in Panchagarh town allegedly by rival members from his own organization. According to police, multiple clashes occurred throughout the day between two rival groups. Joy was attacked near the Cinema Hall Market by 10–12 individuals led by Al Amin, who allegedly stabbed him in the abdomen. Protests erupted following the murder, forcing all shops in the area to close. The student group has refused to bury Joy until the perpetrators are arrested. Police and military have launched a manhunt to apprehend those responsible.
