In a heartbreaking incident in Bibandi village of Srinagar, Munshiganj, a mother has been accused of drowning her seven-month-old twin daughters in a pond. The tragedy occurred around 9 PM on Monday. The victims, Lamia and Samiha, were the daughters of Sohel Sheikh and Shanta Begum. According to locals, Shanta allegedly threw the infants into the pond herself. Neighbors rescued the babies and rushed them to a hospital, where doctors declared them dead. In the aftermath, enraged residents detained the couple and handed them over to the police. Srinagar Police have confirmed the incident, and legal proceedings are underway.
