Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqur Islam Khan has declared that the party is fully prepared for elections “even if they are held tomorrow.” However, he stressed that justice for past atrocities, fundamental reforms, and the arrest of “fascist collaborators” embedded within the administration must come first. Speaking at a semi-annual conference in Bogura’s Shaheed Titu Auditorium, Rafiqur said that without a level playing field, any rushed election would not reflect the will of the people.
