Anisa, a student of Laboratory School and College, missed her first Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Bangla exam due to arriving over 90 minutes late while attending to her sick mother. However, she was allowed to take the second part of the Bangla exam today (Sunday). College Principal Md. Asaduzzaman stated that a teacher was sent to her home, and her mother's condition has since improved. The Ministry of Education has instructed the college to consider the case from a humanitarian perspective. Although Anisa had failed two subjects in her test exams, she was allowed to continue with the finals on compassionate grounds.
