Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman stated that the party's goal is to establish a just, egalitarian, and humane society, ensuring the welfare of the oppressed and transforming the nation into an Islamic welfare state. Reflecting on the recent political upheaval, he said, “Through the July Revolution, we have been freed from the tyranny of the Awami regime. This historic change was achieved through the ironclad unity of students and the masses.” He noted that over 2,000 people sacrificed their lives during the movement, with thousands injured and many permanently disabled. Jamaat has extended support to the families of the martyrs and victims to the best of its ability.
