Following an attack on Jatiya Party chairman GM Quader’s residence in Rangpur, the joint forces have sought cooperation from the Discrimination Resistance Student Movement and BNP leaders to identify those involved. Two leaders from the student movement, Imtiaz Ahmed Imti and district convenor Imran Ahmed, were called in for questioning. Upon hearing the news, Sarjees Alam rushed to the scene at 1:30 a.m. in the rain and spoke with Brigadier General Humayun Kaiyum of the 72nd Infantry Brigade. Sarjees stated that the Jatiya Party is an ally of the Awami League and part of the fascist regime. “They attacked our rally, yet they are being mainstreamed and rehabilitated. The Jatiya Party must be banned,” he said.
