A clash between the United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) and the Parbatya Chattogram Jana Samhati Samiti (JSS), led by Santu Larma, erupted in Manikchhari, Rangamati, on Sunday morning. A UPDF member, Nirmal Chakma, was killed in the exchange of gunfire. UPDF spokesperson Ongya Marma condemned the attack and demanded the arrest of those responsible.
