Saudi Arabia has welcomed a draft peace agreement prepared to end Israel’s war in Gaza, describing the move as an important milestone toward resolving the crisis. The report, published on August 1, 2026, said Riyadh viewed the proposed agreement as a historic step toward ending the conflict.

Saudi Arabia stressed that the agreement must ensure the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the besieged Gaza Strip. It also called for the deployment of an International Stabilization Force, known as ISF, uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid, and faster reconstruction of Gaza after widespread destruction.

Saudi authorities said the agreement should begin a process that facilitates the realization of the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights. Riyadh said the process should ultimately secure Palestinians’ right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
