Following the fall of the Awami government on August 5, several entertainment industry figures faced a tough situation. In a recent interview, actress Nusrat Faria, who played a role in Mujib: The Making of a Nation, stated that she has no regrets about doing the film.

“For five years, from 2019 to 2023, I maintained the same look for this role. I didn’t dye my hair, kept it black, and stayed within a specific weight range,” she said. Nusrat further added, “When a project is offered at the government level, it’s difficult to refuse, even if it’s not something you personally prefer.”

She also revealed that she was in Canada during the uprising and acknowledged that “a mistake is always a mistake.” Reflecting on that period, she said, “At that time, I made posts in support of the students.”
