Muhammad Rezaul Karim, Amir of Islami Andolan Bangladesh and widely known as the Pir of Charmonai, emphasized the importance of the second phase of political dialogue on state reform, initiated by the National Consensus Commission. He urged for open and transparent discussions on the progress, roadmap, and challenges of the reform process. “The current government isn’t a neutral caretaker regime like those of the past — it was formed on the blood of thousands,” he stated. Though some work has been done in the ten months since the government was formed, he added, there have been no visible, structured, or impactful reforms to date.
