Home Affairs Adviser Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury confirmed that there are no security concerns across the country and patrols have been increased to ensure public safety. Speaking after a visit to the Sadarghat launch terminal, he said tickets are being sold at government-fixed prices and most launches are departing on time. Over the last five days, 824 launches have left the terminal, transporting nearly 800,000 passengers from the southern region to their homes ahead of the Eid holidays.
