Awami League Advisory Council member and former Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed was accorded a state guard of honor before his second funeral prayer in Bhola. The prayer took place on Tuesday, June 2, at 2:30 p.m. at Bhola Government Boys High School field, led by Imam Maulana Md. Mohiuddin of Khalifapatti Jame Mosque. People from all walks of life, including party members, attended the ceremony.

After the prayer, his body was taken to his native village Koralia for burial in the family graveyard following a final funeral prayer. Earlier in the day, a helicopter carrying his body landed at the Birshreshtha Mostafa Kamal bus stand area in Bhola after departing from Dhaka.

Tofail Ahmed passed away on Monday, June 1, while undergoing treatment at Square Hospital in Dhaka. His first funeral prayer was held that night at Takwa Mosque in Dhanmondi.
