A 16-year-old boy named Yasin was killed in Chandpur city’s Bara Station Jamuna Road area following a dispute over 20 taka. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. According to local sources, an argument broke out between Yasin and Musa Pradhaniya, aged 17, from the same area, over the cost of eating jam worth 20 taka. During the altercation, Musa allegedly struck Yasin on the head with a GI pipe, leaving him critically injured.

Locals rescued Yasin and took him to Chandpur Sadar Hospital, where doctors provided initial treatment and referred him to Dhaka for advanced care. However, he died on the way near the Signboard area. The officer-in-charge of Chandpur Model Police Station described the incident as very tragic, adding that the body had been sent to the morgue and preparations for filing a case were underway.

Police are continuing their investigation into the incident, and legal proceedings are expected to follow once the case is filed.
