A Deputy Commissioner (DC) and an Officer-in-Charge (OC) were injured during a protest by dismissed police officers demanding reinstatement. The clash occurred in front of the Secretariat on Thursday afternoon. According to Shahbagh’s OC, the protesters surrounded the Secretariat and resisted police intervention, eventually attacking law enforcement personnel. The DC stated that the violence erupted when authorities instructed the demonstrators to clear the area. Five individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident.
