Mahmoodur Rahman Manna, convener of the Citizens’ Unity, asserted that regardless of what other political parties say or do, BNP remains the most popular party among voters. He condemned attempts to tarnish BNP’s image through mob culture, insisting such tactics will fail. Speaking at a discussion at the Press Club on Sunday demanding arrest of those involved in the 2018 attack on BNP leader Faruq, Manna urged all parties to focus on nation-building rather than destruction. He acknowledged BNP faced the most oppression during the Awami League tenure but appealed to set aside revenge and work for public welfare.
