A case has been filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act against 24 leaders and activists of the banned student organization Chhatra League in Jhenaidah. Police launched a district-wide operation and arrested three individuals linked to the incident. The arrests include Farhan Niloy Dighol from Holidhani Union, Mehedi Hasan Sohel from Arappur, and Ashik Uddin from Srifaltala village. Law enforcement units conducted combing operations across different areas to detain them.

According to police and local sources, early on Monday, June 8, Chhatra League activists organized a sudden procession at Payra Chattar in Jhenaidah town. The procession ended quickly, and participants dispersed. Later that day, Sub-Inspector Rajib Ali of Sadar Police Station filed a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act, citing attempts to disrupt law and order. The case names district Chhatra League president Sajib Hossain, general secretary Al Imran, and 22 others, along with 10 to 15 unidentified persons.

Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Asaduzzaman confirmed the incident, stating that the banned group aimed to disturb peace and order in the city.
