CBA leaders at the Power Development Board (PDB) office in Chattogram allegedly assaulted an assistant engineer in front of the executive engineer on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred between 1:40 pm and 2:30 pm at the PDB building in Agrabad, when the leaders entered the executive engineer Nilufar Yasmin’s office and created chaos. The attack followed a dispute over the appointment of a data entry operator on a 'no work, no pay' basis. The matter became public after a video went viral on social media the next day.

According to PDB sources, the CBA leaders, accompanied by about 40 people, entered the computer center without authorization and confronted Nilufar Yasmin about the recruitment. When assistant engineer Mahadi Hasan intervened to calm the situation, the group dragged him outside and physically assaulted him. Other staff members intervened to prevent further harm. Following the incident, a general diary was filed, and five individuals were identified from CCTV footage and transferred to different locations.

Officials said the attack violated both service rules and criminal law, prompting widespread anger among PDB officers and employees demanding punishment for those involved.
