Natore’s Bagatipara Upazila saw the midnight arrest of Sohel Rana, the local Chhatra Dal convener, for his alleged involvement in a gun attack on the house of former BNP leader Rashid Chowdhury. The attack, which occurred on December 16, involved multiple rounds of gunfire. Police recovered two live rounds and seven spent shells from the scene. Rana’s arrest comes 56 days after the incident.
