Sawmik Bhowmik Joy, Deputy Organizing Secretary of the banned student organization Chhatra League’s Suhrawardy College unit, has been arrested in connection with a sabotage case in Khulna. On Saturday night, he was caught and beaten by students and locals at Khulna United Club before being handed over to the police.

Khulna Police OC Hawladar Sanwar Hossain Masum confirmed the arrest.
