A Bangladeshi expatriate named Md. Jasim Mia, aged 30, from Doritazpur village in Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar, died after falling from an under-construction multi-storey building in Bahrain. The accident occurred around 12 p.m. Bangladesh time on Tuesday while he was working at the site. Co-workers rushed him to a local hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

According to local sources, Jasim Mia had been living in Bahrain for several years, working as a mason for a construction company. On the day of the incident, he reportedly slipped and fell while performing his duties. Local union council member Md. Fatik Ali confirmed the incident and said the death resulted from an accidental fall during work.

News of Jasim Mia’s death cast a pall of grief over his home village. His parents, Abdul Gaffar and Samarun Begum, were devastated by the loss of their eldest son. Family members have appealed to authorities and the government for assistance in repatriating his body, while local representatives have promised necessary support.
