Dhaka – The International Crimes Tribunal is hearing the second day of witness testimony in a case against former Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Habibur Rahman and seven other officers, accused of crimes against humanity during the uprising in which six people, including student Anas, were killed in Chankharpul. Yesterday, Anas’s father testified. Today’s proceedings include testimony from suspended Shahbagh police inspector Arshad and three constables. In separate hearings, former State Minister for Home Affairs Shamsul Hoque Tuku and retired army officer Ziaul Ahsan appeared in connection with the 2013 Hefazat rally killings, while five others faced trial over the Savar killing of Yamin.
