BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu has accused certain individuals and groups of either deliberately or inadvertently playing into Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s hands, alleging that she is determined to prevent elections. Speaking at a discussion in Narayanganj, he said the movement’s ultimate goal is to establish democracy, achievable only through a credible election. He argued that those proposing various so-called PR solutions are, in reality, trying to sabotage the election process. Dudu warned that without elections, the country risks sliding back into autocracy and severe economic turmoil.
