Iranian parliament member Ebrahim Rezaei has urged Saudi Arabia to reconsider its foreign and security policies. Rezaei, a member of Iran’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, made the call in a post on X, according to a report published on August 7, 2026.

He said Saudi Arabia could not secure genuine security through what he described as a paper agreement with Pakistan and Turkey. Rezaei argued that Saudi officials should understand that such an agreement would not guarantee their security.

Rezaei also referred to Saudi Arabia’s years of unilateral reliance on the United States, saying it had not provided the country with security. He called for policy reforms so that Saudi Arabia would not have to seek security from others.
