Abu Zayed Md. Nazmun Noor, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Patiya Police Station in Chattogram, has been withdrawn following demands from leaders and activists of BICHA (BICHAA) and NCP. The move came after tensions escalated when the OC denied detaining Dipankar Dey, Vice President of Rangamati District Chhatra League. This led to clashes between police and protestors. Subsequent protests included a blockade of the police station and nearby roads. The situation was defused only after assurances from senior law enforcement officials.
