The British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Sarah Cook, met with the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. During the meeting, they exchanged pleasantries and discussed the overall situation in Bangladesh, including the establishment of democracy, upcoming elections, human rights, the situation of minorities, and the Rohingya issue. They also discussed ways to further strengthen the friendly relations between the UK and Bangladesh.
